This is what I have so far for my photo portfolio. I thought it would be easier to start with the photos since I have so many to choose from, but it really wasn't (the difficulty is in choosing just a few that are the best and not just my favorites)! I would like it to alternate between full spreads of a single picture and spreads with two opposing pictures. I do also have a couple of portraits but I just felt a little weird about posting them online.
I decided to design four different books for my portfolio. One for each of the following topics: graphic design, printmaking & letterpress, photography and "the creative process". I'm afraid it may end up being too broad or necessitate overlapping. We'll see.
My thought was that the covers/outsides would be fairly simple but would incorporate some kind of white only representation of the content (see the purplish one, second image, as an example). I also tried to create an inside layout for at least the photography one. I'm not sure how free-flowing the graphic design one will be but I like that idea.
